こんばんは、研修生の亮佑です。
今日は朝から、タイヤ交換をしました。
車に乗っていながらタイヤ交換をしたことのない自分にとってはすごく良い
経験でした。たかがタイヤ交換と思うかもしれませんが、これがなかなか大変でした。
それが終わると今度は船のバッテリー交換です。
とにかく、最近は修理をすることが多く、少しずつ工具箱の中に入っている物の
名前を覚えてきました。ここに居るとダイビング以外のことでもとても勉強になります。
東京にいる時は、物が壊れればすぐに新しい物を買ったり、修理屋を呼んだりと、
とにかく何もかも人任せでした。でも、ここに来て感じたのは、まずはなんでも自分達で一度
考えやってみることの大切さです。
きっと、それが本来あるべき姿なのだと思います。
便利な世の中であることも大切ですが、少し不便な中で自分達の力を
試すのもいいものです。！！是非、一度試してみてください。

I have discovered that Ishigaki Island is not only beautiful underwater but on land too. Since i’ve been here i have not taken time to look at the nature and views of the island. yesterday i had the opportunity, i had some free time and i hopped in the car and went for a drive. From the north side of the island i drove all the way east as far as the road goes. At the end there is an amazing view point that looks down over a lighthouse and small island just off the coast. I was at the peak of the viewpoint and i was surrounded by aqua green ocean, rolling grass green hills, granite rock outcroppings, and the most epic view of the north coast of ishigaki. Of course i snapped many photos. After enjoying some time there i hopped back in the car and drove almost all the way west to Kabira Bay. A very cute little beach/bay village, with a speciality of harvesting ‘black pearls’. I savoured an ice cream cone and strolled around the area. A very pleasant day out to see ishigaki, i love discovering all this island has to offer!
